TABLE-TOPIC: One Partner Across the Whole Project vs. a Different Specialist for Each Phase

Most studios have felt the pain of switching partners mid-project: lost context, ramp-up time, inconsistent quality, but few have a clear rule for when that risk is worth taking versus when it isn’t. This session gets the table to share what’s actually gone wrong, then work toward practical criteria for deciding: stick with one partner across phases, or bring in a specialist, and what needs to be true for either choice to actually pay off.

This discussion aims to encourage participants to share real-world experiences, identify what has worked (and what hasn’t), and collaboratively define practical criteria for making this decision. The goal is to help studios understand when a single end-to-end partner delivers the greatest value and when a specialist approach is the better choice.
