TABLE-TOPIC: Pitching with AI: What’s Working, What’s Hype

External studios increasingly pitch ideas, not just capacity – which means producing a fast, coherent, client-ready package under real time and budget pressure. AI is now woven into that process at many studios, but few of us are comparing notes on where it genuinely helps versus where it quietly adds risk.

This table is a candid, vendor-and-buyer discussion on using AI across the pitch pipeline: research, ideation, scope/feasibility, art mood, and deck assembly. I’ll seed it with a fully NDA-free look at how we restructured pitching around AI – where cycle time dropped (≈4 weeks → <2 weeks), where quality improved (fewer cross-document contradictions, stronger research coverage, tighter scope/budget alignment), and where AI added noise rather than value – as a jumping-off point.

We’ll compare approaches, surface failure modes, and separate real acceleration from hype. Intended participants: producers, BD, art/creative leads, and studio heads on the service-provider side, plus buyers curious how AI is showing up in the pitches they receive. We’ll leave with a shared, practical checklist – roles humans must own, artifacts, and stage gates.
