Bites & Banter: An XDS Dining Experience

Join us for Bites & Banter presented by Destination Vancouver, an exclusive XDS experience designed to bring people together over what we all love—delicious food and good conversation. This curated dinner series invites you to choose from one of five handpicked local restaurants, each offering a unique atmosphere, menu, and dining experience.

To kick things off, you’ll trade your conference badge for a first-name-only nametag and one simple ground rule: no business talk until dessert. From there, conversation unfolds naturally over the course of the meal. At some tables, prompts hidden throughout the tablescape invite guests to discover conversation starters at their own pace, while at others, your host will guide the group with thoughtfully curated prompts courtesy of the connection-building experts at Subtext. Once dessert arrives, conversations are officially “Open for Business,” and professional introductions can begin.

Get ready for a welcoming, low-pressure way to build meaningful connections with fellow attendees beyond the buzz of the conference floor.

How do I sign up?
Sign-up details will be shared closer to the event via email and on this XDS Bites & Banter webpage. Spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Is there a cost to participate?
Yes, pricing varies depending on the restaurant you select. Each restaurant offers a different set menu, and pricing reflects the venue and experience. The ticket price includes the tax and gratuity on the set menu. Beverages are not included in the ticket price but will be available for purchase on-site.

Can I choose which restaurant I attend?
Yes, you’ll be able to select from five handpicked local restaurants, each offering a unique menu and atmosphere. Availability will be based on capacity and first come, first served.

Can I choose who I sit with or which host will be at my table?
No, table groupings are randomized and participants will not be able to select their tablemates or table host. This is to encourage fresh connections and dynamic conversations.

What kind of food will be served?
Each restaurant offers a different cuisine, and menus will be shared in advance. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated—just let us know during registration.

Can I attend more than one dinner?
No, all Bites & Banter dinners take place at the same time, so attendees may only register for one. Choose the restaurant that best suits your vibe—then get ready for a great night of food and conversation!

Is transportation provided?
Transportation is not provided, but all restaurants are within a short distance of the XDS venue. Directions and tips for getting there will be shared ahead of time.

Is this open to all XDS attendees?
Yes, but space is limited. We recommend registering early once sign-up opens.
