Supporting Diverse and Emerging Talent in External Development
The XDS Industry Assistance Program for Service Providers was launched in 2024 as part of our commitment to fostering a more diverse, inclusive, and globally representative external development community. By reducing financial barriers to participation, the program aims to enable access for underrepresented regions and groups, support emerging talent and smaller service providers, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion by ensuring a wide range of perspectives are present at XDS. It is designed for companies who may otherwise be unable to attend due to economic, geographic, or systemic challenges.
Eligibility Criteria
The XDS Industry Assistance Program supports early-stage, independent service providers with strong potential for growth and impact in external development for video games. While a range of factors are considered, applicants typically meet several of the following criteria:
- The company is attending XDS for the first time and was founded within the past 5 years
- The company is independent, work-for-hire focused, and has around 30 team members or fewer
- The company brings a fresh perspective — through unique services, geographic diversity, or a mission-driven approach
Program Benefits
Selected recipients will receive:
- A complimentary pass to XDS25
- Exclusive networking opportunities with fellow recipients, mentors, and industry leaders
- Recognition as a participant in the Industry Assistance Program
Our goal is to make participation in XDS as impactful and barrier-free as possible for emerging voices in the field.
